Amazon Prime Video Schedule December 11-17: New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

Amazon Prime Video‘s new TV and movie releases for December 11-17 include the highly anticipated second season of Alan Ritchson and Nick Santora’s Reacher and Wes Anderson’s comedy-drama Asteroid City.

Starting on December 12, viewers can stream Wes Anderson’s latest project, Asteroid City, a comedy-drama that revolves around the events at a 1955 Junior Stargazer convention from the perspective of multiple attendees in the form of a play. The film serves as Anderson’s homage to popular memory and mythology about extraterrestrials and UFOs witnessed in the Southwestern deserts of the United States during the postwar period of the American 20th century and features an ensemble cast that includes Tom Hanks, Jason Schwartzman, Edward Norton, Adrien Brody, Bryan Cranston, Tilda Swinton, Jeffrey Wright, Willem Dafoe, Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, Steve Carrell, Jeff Goldblum, and Maya Hawke, among other cast members.

Then on December 15, viewers can catch the second season of Reacher, which will be based on the eleventh Jack Reacher book by Lee Child, Bad Luck and Trouble. Unlike the first season which released in bulk on February 4, 2022, this season will release its episodes weekly between December 15 and January 19, 2024. Alan Ritchson and Maria Sten return from the first season to reprise their roles of Jack Reacher and Frances Negley.

Other releases during this week on Prime Video include Spy Cat, Thursday Night Football, A Christmas Star, and Night Court.
